Angela is a recent graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where she studied Anthropology with concentrations in Human Rights and Humanitarianism and African Studies. She was involved in interfaith initiatives throughout college, including work with the Macalester Multifaith Council and the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition of Minnesota, and is now working as the research assistant on a project investigating models for supporting multifaith programs at public universities. She participated in all three years of GYLI in high school and returned a couple of years later as an intern for a Year 2 program in New Mexico. Her experience with GYLI has been key to helping her understand her own leadership potential, and she is very excited to continue being involved through the 20-30 Leadership Council.
