Megan Bollen

Megan joined GYLI in 2014 as coordinator for the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program. She studied Global Studies in Colorado and has participated in study abroad programs to Greece, Macedonia and the Russian Federation. She graduated with her M.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Curriculum and Instruction where she worked closely with English Language Learners and also became certified to teach secondary social studies.

Megan has educator experience in traditional and non-traditional settings including: Boulder and Milwaukee Public Schools, Outdoor Education and Museum Education. She loves working with youth and believes fostering positive relationships across lines of differences is essential to global peace building and 21st century leadership.

In addition to her role at GYLI she is an adjunct professor of Global Studies at Alverno College, a volunteer moderator with the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee and an instructor of Tea & Wellness with Milwaukee Recreation Department.
