Cathedral in TwilightDue an overwhelming response, the DR Educators Program for 2014 is now CLOSED.  But we have just announced the dates for 2015.  So make your plans now to attend this 8-day Professional Development program.  “Experience the Birthplace of the Americas and Address the Legacy of Slavery” is a unique program that blends experiential learning, exploration of UN Heritage sites, and training for teachers and administrators in leadership development, project-based learning, the Asia Global Competency Domains.  These elements occur in a cross-cultural immersion experience where we stay in the capital city of Santo Domingo, a Haitian Migrant community, and a women’s cooperative.  Come to the DR to learn about your own history and how it can help you empower students and adults in your school to be their best, seek excellence, and confront the challenges that face our communities.  Teachers will come away with a powerful experience and practical tools that will help them create global experiences for their own students and communities.IMG_0314
