Day 9–Leader Learning Plans (LLPs)
One key aspect of GYLI programs that separates them from other programs it the Leader Learning Plan. The LLP is a process to transfer the learning from the GYLI program back into the school or community that sent the students and teachers. The LLP has 4 key parts:
Vision, Goals, Strategy, and Resources. Students and teachers prepare, then present about the LLP at the end of each GYLI program and on-campus workshop. Today we had 10 presentations from the 10 schools, and once again the students and teacher demonstrated their passion and commitment as the leaders of TODAY. We need these students: their ideas, energy, and vibrancy to help us transform our communities.

1. Reducing Stress and building more school spirit
2. Raising scholarship money for student travel programs for students be able to access these incredible opportunities
3. Revitalizing a student voice organization to help students and administrators collaborate more effectively
4. Building awareness and projects about more sustainable food on campus
These are just a few of the ideas that have surfaced, with many more to come.
